5 Reasons Curry Is Good For You

Medical research has shown that curry powders may provide a range of health benefits. Numerous studies show that turmeric, the key ingredient, and its primary active compound curcumin can help prevent everything from cancer to Alzheimers disease.

1/ Turmeric helps protect your bones, preserve bone structure and connectivity and may ward off osteoporosis.

2/ Curcumin has strong anti-inflammatory properties, help with digestion, guard against cancer of the colon and slow down the build-up of plaques on the brain which is the main cause of Alzheimer’s disease.

3/ Ginger is an ingredient commonly used in curry and it is a well-known painkiller that contains an antioxidant that acts as a pain relief against arthritis.  Ginger also helps improve circulation.

4/ Chinese herbalists have been known to use sweet basil, found in curry. Researchers found that basil helps reduce blood pressure and the levels of the proteins that constrict blood vessels.

5/ Medical research shows that garlic contains allicin which is antibiotic, antifungal and may even be antiviral.

Sing Li Supports Santa Run

Everyone at Sing Li Foods give their full support to the Dundalk Santa Fun Run 2014.

The Dundalk Santa Fun Run will take place on Friday 5th December at 6.30pm.

Registration is €10.00 per adult and €5.00 per child price includes Santa suit and chip for Guinness Book of Records.

Last year’s event appeared in the Guinness Book of Records and raised over €60,000 for local charities and over 5000 Santa’s took part.

Polar Plunge 2014
